Oh no. My blog is dying again! But I just want to post a message today, because it's really a special day. It's National Day again! It's Singapore's birthday, and I must say there is always something magical here.
I met my council buddy family, till the 24th (which is 5 batch above me!) and we really talked for quite a long time. 3 are in Unis (2 overseas, 1 in NUS medicine), 1 in NS, 2 J2s and I dunno how we moved from random talking about life, to a very interesting intellectual discussion about Singapore and countries in general. It was such an eye-opener and they really made me think about the issue of Singapore being a "planned" society and whether this is something which is desirable. Honestly, will Singapore fail if our Government fails? It seems like our society is so different from what I know... Perhaps people grow to have different mindsets and ideas in different environments. BUT, I still love Singapore for what it is, and I'm grateful to be here because i know this is where i belong.
Never mind! On another note, the food there was awesome! Maybe next time I should go there with others. Mm, thinking of the food makes me salivate...

Wow, 59 days more to Promos. Seems like a long time, but I know it'll zip pass so fast and before we know it, the papers will be knocking on our doors alr.
Anyway, OGL selection is almost completed, and I'm sure there'll be joys and tears no matter what we do. Selection is always hard, and sometimes unfair, but we've done our best and I'll stand by every decision we make. I know I've let down some of my best friends, whom I know are truly capable, but circumstances are as such at times, and sometimes we have to accept it even if it's bitter. ><
On a lighter note, I went to see Battle of the Year yesterday at Downtown East! ZOMG, it's really damn freaking cool. Teams from 4 countries (myanmmar, japan, korea, thailand) fought it out on the dance stage! At any one time, 2 teams will face off each other and they can send 1 person or a group (from 2 to 4) at a time to showcase their super cool breakdance moves, all under time limit! It's super intense and you can see those people taunting each other with their freezes (i dunno those terms ><), hand-stands while the competition is ongoing. HOWEVER, they really display sportsmanship too! At backstage, there were a lot of friendly interactions and I can see that they commented on each others' dance moves and gave friendly hugs and encouragements. Really very cool! But sth to note: Downtown East is uber far. -.-
Back to my life. I finally realised that I am stressed up and physically exhausted. I fall asleep easily in the day, but have bad and draining dreams/nightmares at night. I forget names, simple things, tasks, appointments easily and I know it's because I've not been having enough rest and I've been under pressure since the poor CT results. >< But I'll work on it! Sorry to the friends whom I've been withdrawing from. My life will only get better from today!
Rarh. Long breaks are coming! I'll take this chance to recharge, and MUG! Till nxt time then! =)
p.s. I edited the post for the poor grammar! I hope it's better now :D
